Our Mediation Process
A transparent path from first conversation to enforceable settlement.
Wise Mediate follows a structured, professional process to ensure every dispute is handled with care, discretion and procedural integrity.
- 01
Initial Consultation
A confidential conversation to understand the dispute, the parties involved and the desired outcomes — and to assess the most suitable ADR mechanism.
- 02
Agreement to Mediate
Both parties sign an Agreement to Mediate, setting ground rules, confirming confidentiality and establishing the mediator as a neutral facilitator.
- 03
Pre-Mediation Preparation
Each party submits a brief position statement. The mediator may convene individual pre-sessions to build rapport and identify the key issues.
- 04
Joint Mediation Session
A facilitated joint session where all parties present their perspectives. The mediator guides structured dialogue and surfaces common ground.
- 05
Private Caucuses
Where helpful, the mediator conducts private sessions with each party to explore interests, test options and create movement toward resolution.
- 06
Settlement & Agreement
Once consensus is reached, the mediator drafts a clear Settlement Agreement — which may be made an order of court for legal enforceability.
- 07
Follow-Up & Closure
Post-mediation support to ensure compliance with agreed terms, with optional follow-up sessions if any implementation issues arise.
